The General Directorate for Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine (DIRECTEMAR) is the entity of the Chilean Navy, by which the Government of Chile watches over the compliance of international standards an agreements in force, in order to protect life at sea, the marine environment, natural resources and to control activities carried out within its jurisdiction and thus contributing to the maritime development of our nation.
